glue goes Malaysian: “Malaysia Kitchen for the World”

malaysiagrandcentral2

In an ongoing project for the Malaysian Tourism Board and RF Binder called “Malaysia Kitchen for the World”, production glue is supporting unique events that promote tourism and cultural awareness – and Malaysia’s mouthwatering cuisine from leading chefs.  In spring 2010, glue executed Malaysian tents at Lucky Rice in DUMBO, followed by a busy fall 2010 that included the Malaysian Night Market in the Meatpacking District (September). RF Binder asked glue to create their brilliant concept of the first-ever “Malaysia Kitchen for the World” Food Truck, with 9 local restaurants serving free samples to the public in Manhattan and Queens (October – November). The pinnacle of the NYC-based events took place in Grand Central Terminal the first weekend in November with Malaysian cuisine created by notable chefs, cooking demonstrations, and unique cultural performances and decor. The partnership heads west in December with a Night Market on 3rd Street in Santa Monica, CA.
