Friday, April 6 – Nokia US took over New York City’s Times Square for the launch of its new Lumia 900 smartphone. Arriving hours in advance, a blend of fans, tourists, and intrigued spectators were greeted by a mysterious blue box and live countdown, which tracked the remaining time before Nokia’s secret performer hit the stage. Moments after dusk, a larger-than-life Chris Parnell appeared on a gigantic American Eagle LED screen to address a curious crowd with the reveal of international rap superstar, Nicki Minaj. The crowd witnessed an exclusive remix of Minaj’s latest single “Starships,” and became part of a special audience appearance in the Nokia “Starships” official video.
glue worked closely with the creative minds at IncrediBull and Mission Public Relations, to bring this event to fruition in just five weeks.
Supporting IncrediBull’s event production team, glue assisted in securing production vendors and local labor, coordinating requirements, onsite execution, and supervising the load-in and install of all physical production. glue was responsible for organizing all essential permits and corresponding with all city agencies.
