<p>On March 1<sup>st</sup>, <a href="http://fightcolorectalcancer.org/">Fight Colorectal Cancer</a> kicked off their national campaign <a href="http://crcmillionstrong.org/">“One Million Strong,”</a> to raise awareness for <a href="http://ccalliance.org/awareness_month/index.html">National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month</a>. Taking place in the heart of Times Square – the main attraction was a 20-foot long inflatable colon, where guests were invited to walk through &amp; learn about the characteristics of a healthy colon, as well as the different stages of colorectal cancer.</p>

Throughout the day, Fight Colorectal Cancer’s PSA played on the 7-story tall NASDAQ Tower &amp; Reuters Sign, as <a href="http://shop.lululemon.com/home.jsp">lululemon</a> ambassador, James Darling led free yoga classes &amp; a high-energy dance party, World Boxing Organization Middleweight Champion, Peter Quillin mingled with fans &amp; signed autographs, and survivors of colorectal cancer came together for an inspirational group photo.</p>

<h3><b>Objective </b></h3>
<p>Applied our technical expertise &amp; extensive knowledge of working in Times Square, to advance event permitting, navigate challenging situations within the space, create an open &amp; inviting environment, and support Fight Colorectal Cancer in their demand to find a cure for colon &amp; rectal cancer.</p>

<li>Technical Production: Space layout &amp; design, tent specifying, and provided audio, staging, and lighting for the entire production.</li>
<li>Logistics Coordination: Coordinated with the venue &amp; city officials to obtain the appropriate permits, as well as managed labor for production.</li>
<li>Site Management: Worked with ConEdison to clear the venue space &amp; finish set-up on time for a 9:00AM start, despite delays from existing overnight construction in Times Square.</li>

<p>As a result of October’s Hurricane Sandy, the ninth annual Keep a Child Alive’s (KCA) Black Ball was cancelled – giving way to Black Ball REDUX, a once-in-lifetime fundraising event. Rescheduled for December 6, 2012, <a href="http://keepachildalive.org/the-black-ball/2012-ny/" target="_blank">Black Ball REDUX</a> was inspired by the iconic <a href="http://keepachildalive.org/the-black-ball/" target="_blank">Black Ball</a> gala &#8211; bringing celebrities &amp; philanthropy together; raising funds for the children &amp; families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa &amp; India. Gracing Harlem’s <a href="http://www.apollotheater.org/" target="_blank">Apollo Theater</a>, the legendary event was emceed by Whoopi Goldberg &amp; featured musical collaborations by KCA Co-Founder Alicia Keys, with artists Jennifer Hudson, Angelique Kidjo, Bonnie Raitt, and Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard.</p>

<li>Intently worked with Empire Entertainment &amp; the venue staff, to accommodate last minute alterations &amp; to guarantee the event remained on schedule.</li>

<li>Originally scheduled for November 2, 2012 (postponed due to Hurricane Sandy), glue worked diligently to place all elements into storage prior to the storm, and accepted the challenge of resurrecting the set &amp; ensuring the re-scheduled show remained on schedule.</li>

<p>Held on November 29th – Mission Public Relations brought glue onboard to participate in the festive evening; promoting the two-year partnership between <a href="http://www.belvederevodka.com/" target="_blank">Belvedere Vodka</a> &amp; <a href="http://www.joinred.com/" target="_blank">(RED)</a>, the latest BELVEDERE(RED) Special Edition Bottle, and the fight for an AIDS-free generation by 2015.  The President of Belvedere Vodka Charles Gibb, actress Kelly Rutherford, and VHI’s Carrie Keagan, amongst other advocates, were present to show their support.</p>

In concurrence with the new 12-hour television event, <a href="http://www.history.com/shows/mankind-the-story-of-all-of-us#fbid=lmJNAKtBtuV"><i>Mankind The Story of All of Us</i></a>, HISTORY invited educators &amp; young people from across the globe to join them for the live webcast, <i><a href="http://www.history.com/interactives/mankind-connected-global-teach-in-webcast">MANKIND CONNECTED: A Global Teach-In</a></i><i>. </i>The live online event took place on Thursday, November 8th, and featured a panel of historians, special guests, and students from around the world, to explore <a href="http://www.unesco.org/new/en/">UNESCO</a> World Heritage sites &amp; discuss a shared history between all humans. The main broadcast took place in Washington, D.C’s interactive museum, the <a href="http://www.newseum.org/?gclid=CNK6rMLy_7MCFY-d4Aod0E0AmQ">Newseum</a>, and featured numerous videos &amp; live remote presentations, to showcase an insider&#8217;s look into a variety of UNESCO locations.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><b>Objective</b></h3>
<p>Work with CEG &amp; HISTORY to advise technical direction, coordinate schedules, supervise the main broadcasting studio&#8217;s set design &amp; build, and oversee the production of both remote locations in Vina del Mar, Chile &amp; Liberty, Missouri.</p>

<li>Provided a technical producer &amp; camera operator on the ground at the<b> </b>schools in Chile &amp; Missouri, to guarantee direct &amp; seamless communication between the main studio &amp; these two remote locations</li>
<li>In Chile &amp; Missouri, identified, sourced, and integrated necessary equipment, to ensure the streamlined communication between the main studio in DC &amp; the remote locations would work</li>
<li>Coordinated testing of communication lines &amp; webcast feeds, across three different time zones (CT, EST, and UTC-4), across one EST evening</li>
<li>Under a tight schedule &amp; faced with a firewall issue in Chile, glue worked quickly to provide solutions, resolve the problem, and guarantee the show&#8217;s program could go on as planned</li>

NBC News <a href="http://productionglue.com/2008/11/06/election-night-in-rockefeller-center/">returns</a> to NYC’s historic <a href="http://www.rockefellercenter.com/">Rockefeller Center</a> to host <a href="http://www.rockefellercenter.com/events/2012/10/30/democracy-plaza/">Democracy Plaza</a>, an innovative celebration of American democracy and citizenship.  The “epicenter of election politics,” featured interactive replicas of the Oval Office and the White House Press Briefing Room, a video booth for guests to impersonate an <a href="http://www.nbcnews.com/">NBC News</a> reporter, and Decision 2012 coverage leading up to and on Election Day. As the <a href="http://video.msnbc.msn.com/msnbc/49703109#49703109">NBC Decision Desk</a> called the presidential race, an enormous map of the United States was held in the iconic skating rink and was iced over in either red or blue, to visually represent the winner of each state.</p>

To provide technical direction &amp; innovative solutions, oversee transportation logistics for over 30 trucks &amp; two cranes, manage onsite movements &amp; labor crews of 60-100 people, secure permitting, and engage with the venue &amp; vendors to observe extreme weather patterns, reinforce key event elements to withstand the severity of Hurricane Sandy, and guarantee the safety of those in the surrounding area.</p>

<p>Despite losing over 24 hours of install time during the storm, glue continued to work diligently to protect all structures and ensure the show remained on schedule:<br />

<li><strong>Broadcast Booths:</strong> Designed to sit atop the esplanades outlining the skating rink, glue advised technical solutions to allow scenery, lighting, broadcast, and HVAC to occur simultaneously within each pop-up television studio.</li>
<li><strong>LED Setback Screens</strong>: In light of Hurricane Sandy, glue scheduled an impromptu overnight &amp; utilized cranes to hoist LED tiles, truss, &amp; video 35-feet off the ground and safely onto the second floor of Rockefeller Center. glue was forced to postpone the extensive build of each 26’x20’ specialty screen until after the storm subsided.</li>
<li><strong>Wire-Guided Camera:</strong> glue supervised the design, load-in, and installation of a camera suspended between Rock Center and the opposing rooftop of Saks Fifth Avenue. The camera zipped side-to-side along a cable &amp; captured event footage from a bird’s-eye view.</li>
<li><strong>LED Banners:</strong> In keeping with tradition, red &amp; blue window-washing carts (powered by electoral votes) climbed up 30 Rock’s façade. glue designed the rigging for the 20’x8’ low-resolution LED “finish line” and placed it outside the 14<sup>th</sup> floor, where either the “Obama” or “Romney” cart would cross and “announce” the winning candidate.<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br />

<p>On July 13th, a unique collaboration between <a href="http://www.newyorkredbulls.com/">New York Red Bulls</a> star Thierry Henry, and pop artist <a href="http://www.tristaneaton.net/">Tristan Eaton</a>, stood outside of Midtown’s Madison Square Garden. The duo teamed up to set soccer &amp; art in motion, as they showcased a 24’ x 21’ interactive mural. Fans &amp; passersby watched as the legendary player struck each target, triggering the giant canvas to reveal a stunning mural hidden underneath.</p>

<p>The final mural now exists at the <a href="http://www.redbullarena.us/arena/default.aspx">Red Bull Arena</a> in Harrison, New Jersey.</p>

<p>Keeping the creative goals of Eaton in mind, while considering the logistics of Henry’s challenge, glue worked with <a href="http://www.redbullusa.com/cs/Satellite/en_US/Red-Bull-Home/001242746208542">Red Bull USA</a>, to bring the vision of both parties to life.</p>

<li>Event execution partner: provided production support &amp; management; sourced materials &amp; vendors for the structure’s set-up &amp; strike</li>
<li>Supervised two-day load-in &amp; build: utilized a crane to lift over 25,000 lbs of art into place</li>
<li>Oversaw the five-hour tear down, keeping the installation travel-ready &amp; pristine for display in other locations</li>
<li>Designed &amp; produced event signage, inline with client’s branding specifications</li>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-center" src="http://productionglue.com/wp-content/gallery/storage-wars/sw_top.jpg" alt="sw_top" width="600px" />This spring, production glue and Civic Entertainment Group teamed up to promote A&amp;E&#8217;s hit show, <a href="http://www.aetv.com/storage-wars/" target="_blank">StorageWars</a>, the reality show featuring star auctioneers and buyers who compete over the contents of storage units that have overstayed their welcome. In conjunction with the show&#8217;s third season premiere on Tuesday June 5, the experiential tour launched yesterday in Chicago and will continue on to New York City, Hollywood, and Los Angeles.</p>

CEG brought on production glue to manage the technical aspects, installation, and implementation at each of the four sites. production glue created and managed the design and modification of two 8’ by 16’ portable storage units that are surrounded by flat screens featuring Storage Wars highlights. One unit features rows of lockers with different prizes inside and the other unit features a grand prize that fans can bid on; both provide an exciting activity to engage fans in the show&#8217;s mystery and drama. And, when traveling between sites, each storage unit fulfills its original purpose by storing the exhibit equipment and contents.</p>

Taking place at the <a href="http://www.nycitycenter.org/" target="_blank">New York City Center</a>, glue was pleased to provide technical support for the action-packed event.</p>

The show kicked off with a blowout performance by hip-hop star <a href="http://www.officialflo.com/" target="_blank">FLO RIDA</a>, and followed with a presentation by <a href="http://www.cwtv.com/" target="_blank">The CW</a> President, Mark Pedowitz, to announce the network’s 2012-13 broadcast schedule to advertisers, affiliates and national media. Laced with The CW’s leading stars from current hit series like <a href="http://www.cwtv.com/shows/the-vampire-diaries/" target="_blank">The Vampire Diaries</a> and <a href="http://www.cwtv.com/shows/supernatural/" target="_blank">Supernatural</a>, to new dramas like <a href="http://www.cwtv.com/shows/arrow" target="_blank">Arrow</a> and <a href="http://www.cwtv.com/shows/cult/about" target="_blank">Cult</a>, the President deemed the upcoming “transformative” season and rolled out over 50 hours of original programming, among other highlights accompanying the <a href="http://blog.cwtv.com/" target="_blank">primetime schedule</a>.</p>

The set featured a mix of high- and low-resolution LED products including two large LED towers utilizing 3.75 mm LED and a curved back wall of 25 mm LED behind a scenic rear projection screen. The combination of LED products mixed with high lumen rear projection created a dynamic space that was fed custom graphics from a pixel mapped media server control system.</p>
